2005 Southern Chapter Newsletter
Coming Soon...
On February
27, 1987, a small group of Mershon descendants met in
Sharon, Georgia. Their purpose was to form an organization
that would locate other Mershon cousins living in the
Southeastern parts of the United States and to hold
annual reunions with their Southern cousins. From this
initial meeting, The Southern Chapter of the Mershon
Association was organized. The first annual meeting
of the Southern Chapter was held on April 25, 1987,
in Rochelle, Georgia. The Southern Chapter is an integral
part of the Mershon Association and has the same stated
purposes as the parent organization. It has its own
slate of elected officers, publishes its own newsletter
on Southern activities, and is financially independent
of the Mershon Association.
